Handling design oriented tasks, building and launching websites and continued maintenance on existing websites.
Promoted to Head of Development during second tenure; responsible for task delegation, technical oversight, and acting as primary point of contact for the development team.
Create a new visual identity and ensure a creative and quality assuring feeling
The client had a lot of content due to the nature of the service, wanting a space for organised show of photos. He wanted the website to feel "high-quality" while keeping it a bit playful and inspirational. The dark neutral colorscheme was chosen to emphas ize the imagery, whilst also making the CTA content more visible.
The customer ended up liking the end result so much so he wanted me personally to maintain and do continued development well after my departure with the company.
Create a website with focus on SEO-friendliness and conversion.
The wanted more customers, and did not care for or have an existing digital identity and barely even a logo. I tweaked up a logo, re-used the colors and kept the design light and simple. I added some easily navigateable "sorting" boxes so visitors immediately could redirect themselves to the content they are most interested in.
Worked with a team of 1-3 other webdesigners and marketing experts to coordinate efforts to create coherent and fulfilling projects for customers
Websites were primarily being developed in WordPress with themes like Elementor and Divi. Plugins and custom coding was an assisting factor in the success of the projects.
As the main developer of the company, I had the honor of meeting customers face-to-face to discuss wishes, needs and scope of the projects. Being the developer of the projects myself, I could offer expert insight into the development, never overstepping the realities of the task.
During both tenures, I ran customer support parallel to developing new websites. Assisting customers seeking guidance in navigating their dashboard, and adding/editing content.
In this short position i worked as an independent hands-on production worker in a print shop to broaden work experience. I took responsibility for manufacturing on large-format CNC equipment, alongside additional machinery, including laser cutter and industrial printer.
Managed multiple parallel assignments while ensuring continuous machine operation and delivery deadlines.
Create a big piece for a scene show that was portable, durable and quick to assemble
A popular danish musician was about to go on tour and had asked us to create a big golden cat sun. With very limited timeframe i started using the CNC machine to cut out the 10 pieces that would be wrapped with the image and assembled with a sturdy metal chassis in the back.
In this position I developed high volumes of client websites in a fast-paced agency environment. I later took responsibility of development and maintenance of all webshops, including technical ownership and ongoing support. Acted as a key problem-solver within the team, supporting both development and design challenges due to my knowledge of CSS/Sass.
Develop brand while maintaining its identity, with a welcoming and easy to navigate website with focus on key points
For this project I was given a few pointers in the project description, mainly he wanted to use his video, he liked
the welcoming feeling of "face-to-face" on the website and lastly that he wanted focus on the main services he offered.
Firstly I kept the colors from the logo and added a few more UI colors for better user-feedback options. I then cut the video and
gave it a filter in Premiere Pro to preserve readability of overlay text and video content while also reducing the filesize tremendously
to preserve fast loading time. Because the video now was so altered, I added a "View video" button fairly early on the page. To address
the main services I grouped the content around a blue box and rounded the edges for a less aggressive feel. I then pulled the box up over the
video to reestablish the flow of the website and make it feel less blocky.
This assignment was one of the few projects where a customer actively called back to compliment the design.
Create a access point for ticket sales, while having heavy focus on developing the existing brand
With so much focus on the existing brand design, I created assets for all buttons and sections and structured both code and frames around them.
This is where the funky half transparent shapes and the very limited even lines come from.
Since its a theater, they had plenty of fantastic photos of their shows, so I wanted to emphasise a lot on them. The only purpose of the website
was to create intrigue and description for their upcoming shows while being a library for old ones and a portal for ticket purchase.
My next focus was on the usability from the theater themselves, I wanted to make it easy for them do create new shows and keep the content updated,
so I created content types with everything they needed.
Although to website seems fairly simple, most of the development time went with minizing necessary support hours by letting the theater maintain it
problemfree themselves.
This project was probably the most challenging assignment i completed in this position. The customer was so focussed on the brand and the seller was so passionate about the project, that my gears really went 120% for this website. In hindsight, I let that influence me too much and the production time suffered for that, I even got a reprimanding from my team leader, even though the customer was really happy with the end result.
